TV

I'll be the first to admit that I used to watch too much tv.  Then I got old, okay, seriously, between work, my part time work, dance, the gym, attempting to have a social life, and of course daily/weekly chores, I still like tv, but don't have as much time to watch it as I used to.  Plus I'm trying to read a little more since I have so many books I want to read and I also waste more time than I should on the computer.  Sure I go through phases now and then--like when I started looking at homes and shortly after I bought my home, I was always watching HGTV and I go through phases where I get hooked on the travel channel or the food channel, but then I find myself not watching them for a while and ocas I'll spend a Sun afternoon watching NCIS reruns--never seen the show new, just the reruns--or Law and Order reruns.  That being said, there are a few shows I watch each week.  In case you're wondering: The Good Wife, Desperate Housewives--there I admitted it, Law and Order SVU (even though sometimes it quite disturbs me and I wonder why I watch it, but I used to like the regular Law and Order so it's the closest thing I've got--though I could probably watch Law and Order reruns all day long on the various stations that air it), and Modern Family.  Well, don't ask me why, but I decided I wanted to watch another comedy.  When I was a kid and teen, I really enjoyed sitcoms. So I recently started watching "Two Broke Girls," and I'm enjoying it.  Then one day recently, I saw an ad for a show called "Missing" and shortly forgot about it, but then saw another ad and checked it out "On Demand" and I am hooked.  I really don't need another show to watch and Missing is certainly not a sitcom, but I find myself coming back every week to find out if they'll ever find Michael.  So if you come across any good shows, please don't tell me about them because otherwise I'll be watching too much tv again.

I've been so inconsistent with my blogging lately.  UGH!  I will try to do better, but knowing me, I'll likely fall behind again.  I have so many random comments I want to make, so in typical Cat fashion, here are some more "letters"
Dear Mother Nature,
Why do you insist on giving us blah weather on school vacation week?  You did that last vacation week too.  Oh, well, it's an excuse to stay in and catch up on my books and movies.
Dear Barnes and Noble,
You have too many good books.  I should be banned from that store since I have so many books to read and yet I keep my buying more (in my defense, I hardly ever spend money there b/c I often have gift cards).
Dear Monday,
Since it's vacation, I think I like you more than Friday this week.  That will not happen again until June.
Dear Certain Baby Product Selling Store,
I do NOT like you.  Don't tell me something is in aisle 48 when it's really in aisle 50.  Also, don't tell me something is in aisle 7 when it is not even in the store.  Why do I have issues EVERY time I go to you?  Even asking for help does not often solve the problem as the salespeople can't find things (perhaps because your registry LIES about where they are).  I fear if I ever have a child I may have to shop at you, but for now I do NOT like you.
Dear April Weather,
What's the deal?  It was 80 degrees the other day.   I haven't had my heat on for weeks and now I think I may need to turn you back on.
Dear Gas,
I used to hope you'd never go above $3 a gallon.  Now I'm praying you don't go over $4 a gallon.  Remember when your baby-sitting money could pay for a week's worth of gas.  Those were the days!  (Man I sound old).
Dear Wedding Receptio Venues,
Looking at you is fun.  Looking at your prices makes me want to cry/vomit.
Dear Quesadilla Maker,
You rock!  A great easy dinner on a busy (or lazy) day.
Okay, that's enough letters for now.  Have a great day everyone!
