We had company the weekend of day 30 and one of the people who came commented that I had a nice Christmas village.  I know I've posted a pic of it before, but it's one of my favorite Christmas decorations and I tend to get a new piece for it each year.  And that is the last picture in my 30 days of pictures until next time.  Enjoy! 

I've got a fun weekend coming up and then work will be quite busy for the next two weeks or so thus I may not be back to blogland 'til February so until then have a good one!

I have had this decoration since my junior year of college.  It adds some festivity to the guest room door.  However, it's ripping in several places so sadly, this is the last year I think it will go up.

Every year I have three friends (and their significant others and new this year--a baby) over for a Christmas gathering.  We've been doing this for over a decade, although I only took over hosting duties a few years ago. Over the years it has grown from the girls to the girls and boyfriends, fiancés, husbands, and now the first child addition.

I only took a few pictures on Christmas Eve and most of them were of my nephew.  I don't like posting pics of other people's kids without their permission so instead of cute kid pics, here is a pic of Christmas Eve dessert.  I made most of the desserts on here and a few more.  I didn't make the things in wrappers on the bottom right or the turtle things.

I am not a coffee drinker, but I love this mug.  I just think the design is so cute.  Someone gave it to me for Christmas today (day 24, not the actual date I'm posting this).

Despite not feeling well, I did manage to go out to lunch with some of my husband's family for their annual Christmas lunch party.  His great aunt, who I adore was there.  She gave me the pin below.  I'm not really a pin person, but I figured I could wear it on my coat from now 'til Christmas.  It was festive.  And it's the thought that counts and it was really sweet of her to think of me.

Why do I have a picture of my bed for day 21, you ask?  Good question.  The answer is because that is where I spent most of the day.  I normally go to Zumba every Saturday, that didn't happen.  I did have plans to go to a friend's house for lunch.  I went, but didn't stay too long.  I had a horrible cold.  I get colds a couple of times a year, but this one hit me hard.  I got home from lunch and went to bed and spent most of the day there sleeping, reading, and watching TV.  It was not terribly fun, but it did help as I felt a little better the next day.  The random doll on the bed is a Christmas decoration.  I only have two Christmas decorations in my bedroom and that is one of them.  The rest of the house makes up for the lack of holiday spirit in the two bedrooms.  I was NOT posting a picture of me sick in bed so you'll have to settle for the bed instead.

This is what I won at the Yankee swap.  I'm not a huge fan so I'll have to put it out at the next event or bring it to the next party. 

Picture 19: Dec. 18th

One of my co-workers hosted a small Christmas gathering/Yankee Swap.  For the Yankee Swap, the rules were you had to bring some form of booze and not spend more than $15.  I decided to be "cute" with my gift. 

 

Can you tell what it is?  I tried to hold it up and take the pic, but it didn't go so well so I had to lay it down.  It's a wreath of nips.  So anyway, I assembled my gift on Dec. 18th, hence the picture and the party was the next day.  To see what I won, you'll just have to check tomorrow's blog post.  :)
