Winter 2015

So per usual I am way behind in blog life.  Aside from my 30 pictures, I haven't blogged about much besides my wedding and honeymoon in recent (and not so recent) history.  So my plan is to try to catch up a bit and highlight a few things from the past year.  Given how long I go without blogging sometimes, don't expect too much, but I have a few fun pics and stories to share.  Last winter (going back to 2015) was full of many good times (a fun weekend trip, a wedding shower, fun nights out, etc), but it was also full of too much snow.  I got so fed up with winter that I rewrote the lyrics to "Let it Go" to summarize my thoughts on winter.  So enjoy and knowing me, I'll be back in another month with an update on spring 2015.  :-)

The roof leaks quietly in my house tonight
Not a contractor to be seen
The snow is piling up so high
And the ice dams are just mean
The wind is howling and the heating bill is rising
Shoveling and roof raking, I just feel like crying
Don’t let it snow, not anymore
The snow is piling up past my front door
Can’t deal, this can’t be real, no no
Please no more snow
No more snow, no more snow
I can’t take it anymore.
No more snow, No more snow
It’s taller than my back door.
I don’t care
What they’re going to say
I want to move away
The cold’s always bothered me anyway.
It’s funny how 32
Suddenly seems so hot
And summer seems so far away
Though they say it’s really not
It’s time to see what I can do
Rake the roof or shovel too
Or move down south and say bye to the snow
No more snow, no more snow
There are more flakes up in the sky
No more snow, no more snow
Think I’m going to cry
Here I shovel
And here I’ll stay
As the storm goes on
My back is sore from shoveling and roof raking
My bank account is empty from the heating bills I’m paying
And one thought still remains strong in my brain
I want summer here now
This winter is a pain
No more snow, no more snow
I just can’t take it anymore
No more snow, no more snow
I’m frozen to the core
Here I stand
With my shovel in hand
More snow is on the way

The cold’s bothering me everyday!
