Missing Ireland
You're probably sick of all these Ireland posts so apologies, but I was thinking about Ireland again today. I don't know if I mentioned it any of my other posts, but not only were the people in my program great, but the people of Ireland were so nice and helpful. One of my friends went to buy a t-shirt and the place was out, but instead of just saying sorry, we don't have any, he found another place where my friend could buy one and gave him directions. Another friend of mine had a similar issues. She wanted a specific shirt from a bar, but they were out of the size she needed and we were heading back to the US in 4 days. So the guy at the bar made arrangements to get the shirt to her at school on that Friday. How nice is that?! Meanwhile, I'm out running errands today and I'm reminded of how rude some people are. I go to the bank and the woman tells me I could have done what I needed to do at the ATM instead of going to the counter. Well, excuse me for making you do your job. It's no wonder I try to avoid going into that bank whenever possible. Then I'm at another store and the woman is all crabby because her credit card machine is broken and tells me I need to go to another line. Fine, but don't get cranky with me. It's not my fault your machine doesn't work and since you've known that for a while, couldn't you post a sign? Or close your line 'til it's fixed? Thankfully, the guy who waited on me at the grocery store was very nice. So that concludes today's rant. I'll try to blog again next week and be less grouchy. September is my crazy month at work so while I hope to write next week, me being me that could mean next month.
